SUMMARY

Research fellows in the TIMHWB team (Dr Shraddha Kashyap and Dr Jemma Collova) were awarded a prize for best poster and lightening presentation at the Science on the Swan conference held in Perth (May 2023). They presented on research led by Professor Helen Milroy, which aims to improve cultural safety in mainstream mental health services through co-design and empowering Indigenous methodologies. Professor Helen Milroy was also a panellist on the Mental Health Research and Panel Discussion, discussing the WA government’s strategy to mental health. The conference was attended by health and mental health researchers, government representatives, and industry partners, with the theme, ‘Partnering for Success.’
